What studio do you work out of?

New York City

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a ____ when I grew up?

I thought I’d be a Fire Fighter,  because I wanted to be just like my dad!

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is ____.

“Focus on the present moment and let go of worries about the future,” and “Sometimes the best way to help yourself is to help others.”

What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?

The biggest misconception about my position would probably be that most people think I am only here to clean and move equipment. While this is true to an extent, I am also responsible for helping every department run smoothly. I also help with organizing and general maintenance of all equipment to ensure that the studio is a safe environment for all. I oversee coordinating rentals for supplementary photography equipment and have helped as a lighting assistant. In addition, I am a member of the safety committee, so it is my duty to stay up to date with all emergency protocols. Additionally, I assist with facilities (building walls, sanding and plastering cycs, and painting). Lastly, I work closely with the studio manager to help set up and maintain the studio.

What fashion trend should make a comeback?

I would love to see the “Jazz Suit” come back from the early 1900’s. I love dressing up in a suit, and it would be fun to see everyone looking sharp.

What fictional place would you most like to visit?

I would most like to visit any planet in Star Wars. If I had to choose one, I would probably say Coruscant so I can experience the energetic capital of the galaxy surrounded by new cultures and alien beings.

What is your favorite part of your job and how does it impact the Straub mission of making Damn Good Content?

My favorite part of working at Straub would be the collaboration between an amazing group of individuals. “Collaboration” is in the name of the company for a reason! It’s amazing to see all these different departments work together to achieve great results for our clients, and it’s also exciting to learn many things from seasoned veterans along the way.

Anything else everyone should know about you?

I am a motivated individual who wants to excel in both photography and filmmaking. I love to write scripts and edit videos with software’s like Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro. On my free time, I enjoy playing video games, watching movies, exploring NYC, and writing new music on my guitar. Also, as you could tell from my attire, I very much enjoy watching sports (especially Miami teams). I’m so incredibly grateful to be working at a company like Straub, and I’m excited to continue my career here collaborating with wonderful like-minded people!
